Everybody's absolute numbers are up this week indicating increased news media attention on the campaign. Dean just barely retakes 3rd place from Lieberman. I've added something new this week: a percentage share of the total stories for each candidate as well as an indicator of how this value changed from the previous week. This measure indicates that Gephardt, Dean, Kucinich and Braun had the best week, in that order, as their total shares went up. Meanwhile Kerry, Graham, Lieberman and Sharpton slacked off while Edwards remained steady. (Methodology: All numbers are taken from the hit counts when searching on the Google News Service for news stories containing each candidate's name. Click on each name to rerun the search. You will likely get different results as the numbers are constantly changing. I make absolutely no claim that these numbers have any real meaning.)
