Oversight will prevent impeachment

Russ Feingold's censure resolution is a perfect example of the previously discussed strategy. If Democrats were smart they wouldn't criticized Feingold for introducing the resolution. Instead they would say something like this:

"While I'm not ready to sign on to that extreme a solution, Senator Feingold's proposal has a sound foundation in fact. This administration has radicalized so much of American policy that a strong dose of oversight is needed to correct for it. Unfortunately, this will never happen so long as Republican rubber stamps continue to control the Congress. If Democrats win in November you can be sure we will restore a sense of balance to our government so that we won't ever have to go to the extremes of censure and impeachment."

Message: oversight is what prevents censure and impeachment.
